Ergo Proxy Anime Review
Much of the time this leads to a deliciously suspenseful darkness in the episode.
Ergo proxy anime review. Secondary characters hide their ambitions of power and desire behind masks of fake smiles and empty pleasantries. For a sci fi anime series ergo proxy is surprising in that it does not concentrate on the action very much some episodes include no fighting at all and instead keeps the focus squarely on the characters and their journey. It isn t explained perfectly well and some things are purposefully left out or made to be vague.
Ergo proxy delves deeply into psychology sending the viewer s head spinning off while trying to figure out what will happen next. Just to get pretenses out of the way ergo proxy is a visually astounding anime mixing two dimensional cell animation with computer generated imagery and special effects. To put things simply it is about the journey of self discovery for the main characters involved and can be very confusing.
Ergo proxy is in my opinion a cyperpunk post apocalyptic seinen anime that reminded me a lot of the movie aeon flux. Ergo proxy is a highly experimental show and just like all shows of that kind it always divides the viewers into two camps. The plot line is even more astounding with a number of deep philosophical undertones meant to question the role memory plays in developing individual identity.
Make no mistake this is a good thing. The cast hides its motives and secrets behind a veil of false smiles and empty pleasantries as good and evil become but mere labels.
