To actually answer the op i don t think so. Characters like lee and neji were still ahead of naruto which made them at least still exciting. Is shipudden better than part 1 question so i finished part 1 and i i gotta say is wow this anime was honestly amazing like i knew it was a good anime because it s one of the most popular and one of the most main streams but still i had no idea it would be this good.

Shippuden is better as any successor should be but only slightly. I enjoyed the basic stuff more than the op shit at the end. For me my impression of naruto shippuden is tainted because it felt like the story and characters fumbled toward the end whereas i will always remember naruto fondly because it executed everything well.

Og naruto is better than shippuden. But i hate to break it to you because iirc masashi kishimoto wrote both of that story arc from boruto not its original writer. While there were some good things in shippuden naruto is the only part i d recommend someone to watch at this point.

However despite both naruto and shippuden getting multiple movie versions it s clear which is of the superior breed. Depends some people say og naruto is better some people say shippuden is better. Naruto shippuden s movies while not bad in any sense are a deviation from the story and plot essentially making them big budget filler episodes.
